IMPLEMENTATION OF TOURISM TAX

In compliance with the Tourism Tax policy set by the Malaysian Government, the levy will commence from 1st September 2017 onwards for all foreign passport holders. By the order of this effect, all rates extended from year 2017 onwards will be charged separately with a flat levy of MYR 10 per room per night. This levy, which is NOT INCLUDED in the room rate, is to be collected by the hotel on behalf of the government upon check in. Malaysian Nationals and Permanent Residents are exempted from paying the levy.
